Annie Leibovitz at Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

4 months ago / dress up

If it makes you cry, it goes in the show.

"The camera makes you forget you're there. It's not like you are hiding but you forget, you are just looking so much."

When Keira was in town, we had a ball of time running around Singapore playing photographer and one weekday adventure took us to the old Tanjong Pagar Railway Station for the UBS Annie Leibovitz exhibition.

I don't know much about Leibovitz to be honest, except that she photographed John Lennon on the day he was assassinated and that she shoots on the 35mm ("My lens of choice was always the 35 mm. It was more environmental. You can't come in closer with the 35 mm") but of the railway station, boy, was it such nostalgia for me to be back there.

More than a decade ago, I had visited Zach's father who lived in Tampin (Malacca) and we took the KTM train from Singapore to Malaysia... I don't remember how many hours the train ride was but it felt like eternity because I have this obsession with bathroom cleanliness and let's just say, the lavatories onboard certainly weren't peaches and cream. I still have a thing for train rides though and one of my greatest dreams is to ride the Trans Siberian Railway - the full 7-day Moscow-to-Vladivostok route!

So many places to see, so little time.

Wearing: Striped crop top from Forever21 (I practically LIVE in crop tops these days.. what took me so long?!), Skirt from ClubCouture and only like my favourite wedges from Charles & Keith!
