The night when we visited the Tokyo Tower was the night that we had the biggest and only fight in Japan…
I’ve deliberately left this post to be done on a night where I can have all the time in the world to get just a little emotional.
You see, the night when we visited the Tokyo Tower was the night that we had the biggest and only fight in Japan.
It might look like a garish Eiffel Tower rip-off, but for some strange reason, before I left for Japan, I felt so strongly about this being the most romantic spot in Tokyo and of course, I wanted to be there with the husband.
And while I’ve never mentioned it, there was always a bittersweet feeling for the first few days in Japan - you know, feeling a little sad at the constant thought of him returning to SG and leaving me there alone for a couple of days.
So we decided to visit the Tokyo Tower on the night before he returned.
But because he took he a really long nap, we ended up almost not being able to make it to the tower before it closes. Which normally wouldn’t be an issue cause we’re such lazy people but I guess I was just overwhelmed with sadness cause it was his last night coupled with disappointment "You know I really really really wanted to see the tower!! Why can’t you just sleep a little less?!" so I ended up crying on the streets of Roppongi wtf.
But we eventually made up and had a long talk that night about me and my abandonment issues wtf. I seriously don’t know how did I survive all those years of LDRs and what am I going to do come next month once he resumes flying :(
So anyway, back to happier thoughts and pictures!
First look at the Tower!
These pics are obviously not by Zach lol
View from main observation deck (at 150m). We didn’t make it in time for the special deck (at 250m) cause that closes earlier and we were fighting at the base of tower fml.
Peering allll the way down and getting a little dizzy…
So obvious that I cried lor…
Not so obvious in black & white lol.
And a happier selfie on the lousy iPhone!
Ending this post with the random christmas tree outside the tower lol.
The rest of the happier Japan entries here.
