My quick and dirty guide to Bangkok!

As some of you may already know, I'm now in Bangkok and while my complete insider guide to Bangkok is still in the works (it's gonna take a while cause this city KEEPS MORPHING wtf) but before amnesia kicks in, I figured I better do up a quick and dirty guide for my latest trip.

So here's my Bangkok in a nutshell:

Where to go: Khaosan (I'm surprised at how cleaned up it is now!), the flower markets, Emquartier, ArtBox, Central Embassy, The Commons

Where NOT to go: MBK, Platinum, Chatuchak and Asiatique

Transport tip: Uber and Grabcar

Restaurant reservations: Make them when you can

What to eat: Coconut soft-serve at Siam Paragon, curry rice at Camp Curry, best sushi in Bangkok at Sushi-OO, Emack & Bolio's, Mango sticky rice macarons at The Mandarin Cake Shop, S'mores, Korean BBQ at Sukishi

If you're feeling richer: L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Savelberg, Origin, J’aime, Le Normandie and of course, Nahm

Where to stay in Siam: Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri & Grande Centre Point Ploenchit

Where to stay in Sukhumvit: Hilton Sukhumvit & DoubleTree by Hilton

Where to drink: The Speakeasy, Maggie Choo, Distil

Favourite brunch spot: Rocket Coffeebar
Favourite ice cream: Mango sticky rice at Swensens
Favourite massage (NOT the sleazy type): Diora Langsuan
Favourite supermarket: Gourmet Market at Siam Paragon
Favourite date activity: Staying in with the Aloha Pizza from The Pizza Company (best shit ever)

Hidden find: Surprisingly good Khao Soi at Madame Musur

Do not try: Street Pad Thai at Khao San
