Day One of our #garryflorajapan adventure!
Saving the best for the last!
Day One of our #garryflorajapan adventure was my favourite day of the lot and I’m not kidding when I say it could possibly be the happiest day of my life. Sorry husband, it’s a close tie between this and our wedding day.
All the sights and sounds that day still seem so fresh in my mind. I think it’s because that’s the only day in a long, long, while that I did not allow myself to think about work at.all. We really should live life the way we live holidays - take our time to savor all that is around us, enjoy the journey when we get lost and not worry about “wasting time”… but of course, it’s much easier said than done.
Setting off! I love my passport cover from Pylones… so fun and happy!
I still remember how I felt the exact moment when we landed at Narita - ohhh it’s actually quite cold / I wonder if my coat’s thick enough/ Never mind, another reason to go shopping and for the boy, his life is much simpler lol. His only thought - where should we eat?
Our first photo in Tokyo!
Ftheboy’slife cause it was the start of our my camwhoring journey lol
On the NEX to our hotel at Shinjuku!
Boy’s wearing my scarf cause someone wanted to be hero and checked in his lol
My favourite thing about winter is…. washing your hair every 3 days. Sometimes I can make it last 4 days with dry shampoo (Toni & Guy!!) and minimal walking hahaha.
First meal in Tokyo!
So so so good and it was only at Yayoiken please.
Ridiculous how even eggs can taste so good
Because we took the red-eye flight, everybody needed to nap.
I don’t know why.. I love red-eye flights because we get a full day the next day when we land! #stillyoungfitandstrong lol
So because I didn’t need to nap…
I camwhored…
And camwhored away wtf. Love getting blowouts the day before I fly cause it means pretty vacation pictures lol.
Changed and headed out for dinner! The boy got his scarf out already yay lol
Yakitori for dinner!
It was a small family-run restaurant that we stumbled into at Shinjuku but it was soooo good. And the owners were super nice and friendly and all.
This stew was highly recommended by the owner. Beef innards in a rich broth that was sooo good when coupled with beer. Even the boy who normally shuns kway chup enjoyed this very much!
Strolled around the streets of Shinjuku… this is from the eyes of Mr Yong wtf.
Pretty illumination!
Went to the combini and this kick-started my oden addiction. I was eating daikon everyday.. sometimes two or three times a day wtf.
We were few steps away from our hotel when we saw Sushi Zanmai… and it was still open. I love how it’s so easy to get good food late at night in Tokyo!
So even though we were already very full from dinner…
… we just had to.
And then we finally called it a night!
