How you can get rid your double chin, armpit fat and sagging knees!
Remember I spoke about freezing away my tummyyyyyyy fatsssss?
I have since decided to level up my game and get rid of my double chin too! And of course with my very trusted Dr Terence Tan from Halley Medical Aesthetics.
I'm sure he's quite a familiar face to you guys by now - I've been going to him for more than 6 months already! - and seriously, just when I thought he cannot make me look any better, he surprises me again and again.
For me, I have quite a bit of a double chin (that I usually hide with heavy contouring) that I want to get rid of so I can be less conscious of my angles when I take on video assignments and also more importantly, now that I am inevitably getting older, I want to prevent it from getting worse.
As we age, our skin loses its elasticity and sags. Factors like gravity, sun exposure, smoking, and poor diet can intensify the aging process and this CoolSculpting treatment works by freezing your subcutaneous fat into crystals and disposing them naturally from your body!
So, I decided to try out the treatment...
Marking the exact spot the applicator will be placed on
Bye bye double chin!
I seriously love Dr Tan lah! Which other doctor can get you laughing THIS MUCH right before a procedure? Hahah
So yes, feeling at ease and in his good hands, we went ahead:
At $980 per session, the procedure was pretty straightfoward and is non-invasive. After marking the spot where the CoolMini applicator should be placed, he placed the applicator on that spot. When the machine is turned on, it gently sucks in the area that requires treatment and the cooling begins. The CoolMini may be the smallest applicator so far by Zeltiq but it reaches the nooks and crooks successfully. I just set there for 1 hour using my phone and surfing Instagram until I'm done, while the fats from my chin starts the process of being crystalized and broken down.
So, how do I look now?
Here's a side by side comparison of me in August 2015 and today, May 2016.
Along the way, I have lost some weight (again, thanks to Dr Tan!) and did some botox and fillers - which I will update you guys about in my next post, so stay tuned!
You know, people always talk about being beautiful on the inside and how we should embrace "the way we are"? I admit it, I'm a superficial person haha but you see, I believe that it is every woman's responsibility to look good both on the inside AND out.
I always tell people that my looks/ face is a constant work-in-progress lol. Of course, I'm not saying that we all need to undergo plastic surgery to seek perfection but I believe that we should never neglect our looks even if we are married / busy at work/ tired etc. To me, a successful woman is one who tries to seek success in all facets of her life, including the looks department so good skincare, makeup, regular maintenance and non- or minimally-invasive enhancements to look better is always a good thing for me haha. Simple procedures like CoolSculpting and fillers for example can improve your looks by quite a bit and doesn't involve any downtime or super scary invasive procedures like cutting you up and stuff - so really, why not?
After all, when you look good, you feel good too isn't it?
