You don't know luxury till you've experienced THIS!
First up, a quick history lesson.
There was once a great American hotelier by the name of Conrad Hilton which I'm sure we are already familiar with the stylish Hilton hotel and its 571 properties all over the world. Now, under the group's portfolio of 13 brands, there is also the upscale Conrad brand with just 26 hotels and resorts around the globe.
I recently visited Hong Kong and put up at the exclusive Conrad Hong Kong where luxury takes on an entirely new meaning.
Located 61 storeys above Pacific Place (the view is CRAZY!), the hotel offers sleek guest rooms and suites with a blend of home-like comforts and high-tech amenities right in the heart of the business district of Admiralty - just one MTR stop from Central! Apart from the designer boutiques (I might have spent a littttttleeeee too much time at Rebecca Minkoff) at Pacific Place, the vicinity is bustling with numerous chic restaurants, quaint cafes and the tram, MTR and ferry are all nearby too.
That is, if you can even get out of the hotel.
I mean, with a view like that, it CAN get a little hard.
Of course I'm referring to that of Victoria Harbour and not of me lol.
They certainly take breakfasts very seriously over here
I strongly recommend the KING EXECUTIVE HARBOUR VIEW ROOM because not only do you get a view like that (it's EXCEPTIONALLY gorgeous at sunrise!!!), you also enjoy exclusive access to the Executive Lounge on the 59th floor, which serves complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails and tea and coffee throughout the day. The scones - served piping hot - are absolutely divine and I may or may not have had it every single afternoon when I was there.
Not to be missed also, is the Insta-worthy L'OCCITANE afternoon tea set at the Lobby Lounge and its decadent floral-infused sweet treats.
Even if you're not putting at Conrad Hong Kong, I highly recommend you spend an afternoon here just to unwind over scones (yes, the said delicious scones) and tea whilst enjoying their comfy, snug seating and tall floor-to-ceiling windows opening offering dynamic views of Central.
Another highlight of my stay was the idyllic morning spent lounging away with my girl at the poolside Garden Cafe.
Think adult ice cream floats (the coconut, lemonade & rum float was SO good) and pizza oozing with cheesy goodness while soaking in the pool and basking in the glorious view of Hong Kong's skyline on one side and lush mountains on the other - I know I keep talking about the views here, but trust me, you simply CAN'T get enough of it!
Oh oh oh! I also have to mention that we had bumped into megastar Sean Lau (!!!!) one afternoon in the elevator and on another occasion, Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying was in the same building too!
Lastly, if you ever want to leave the hotel (I didn't even have time to check out their signature spa treatments!), as part of the brand's global #StayInspired initiative, Conrad Hong Kong has put together these insider itineraries for you to explore the city like a true local in 1, 3 or 5 hours through quiet back lanes, emerging neighbourhoods and the raddest restaurants. I had so, so, SO much fun checking out indie boutiques and having my breakfast at the local cha chaan teng (literally, tea restaurant) and took SO many pictures that totally warrant a special blog post of its own - so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, you can see some sneaks at the #FloraIsabellexConradHK Instagram takeover I did over at @conradhkhotel and till then, xxx!
