The happiest place on Earth!
Spent Christmas Eve’s at Disneysea
We were deciding between Disneysea and Disneyland and we chose Sea in the end because we’ve been to Disneyland Hong Kong & Florida and I think Disneysea is only available in Japan (right?)
No regrets! Loveeeeeeed the whole nautical feel :)
Making our way there - took the JR Chuo line to Maihama station.
Where the boy got very excited, because he saw Donald Duck wtf.
My love and his love for ducks.
He doesn’t even take this many pictures of me wtf
Got on the Disney Express to the resort!
Huggggeeeee carpark!
Why I absolutely love theme parks - everybody’s just so happy.
And romantic…
Disney + Christmas Eve + Cold weather =
Goofing around before we went for the rides.
We pretty much split up after this because the park was quite crowded - it was a holiday afterall.
Another reason why I love theme parks - churros!!
I uploaded this on Instagram and somebody commented that we look alike... Got meh?
The parade! In general, the shows at Disneysea are a must watch! Amazing extravaganza of water, lights, music, fireworks etc. The Japanese are very enthusiastic about the shows and they will sit one hour or more in the freezing cold just to chope a good spot. We didn’t do that for the first show at 2pm and all I could see was the occasional bopping Mickey Mouse head wtf so we got smarter for the second performance at 5pm. Because it’s winter, the sun sets really early, plus we were near the sea so it was bone-chilling cold. But there was something quite magical and romantic as we just huddled together under the pretty lights :)
See what I mean by pretty lights?
Though there were moments I felt like Kate Winslet from Titanic wtf.
Okay back to pictures…
Disclaimer: I didn’t make him wear this hat ok. In fact, he was the one who tried it on himself and even wanted to buy it wtf and I was like “HUH?!?! Don’t waste money la. I take photo for you can already”.
Camwhoring while for the tram…
Still waiting for the tram lol.
Snapped these pictures while I was waiting in the cold alone for the 5pm show while the boy went to get me a matcha latte. Am quite impressed with my camera to be honest - the shots nubbad right!
Super cute kids everywhere. And so many little boys and girls carrying their Duffy & Shellie May throughout the park!
Lunch!
Got to mention that the food at Disneysea was surprisingly good! I generally have a bad impression of theme park food to be overpriced and tasteless but not at Disneysea. OMG I LOVE YOU JAPAN. Food was not too expensive (definitely not as ridiculous as USS here) and the quality was gooooodddddd. In fact, I tried black coffee for the first time in my life there (because the boy couldn’t be bothered to get me sugar wtf) and it was sooo aromatic I finished the whole cup happily lol.
Ariel’s Playground!
When night fell :) Felt a little like NYC.
Random photo taken by the boy…
I told you he really likes his ducks.
Our final stop - the Indiana Jones Adventure ride!
Thank goodness we were queuing indoors because it was about 9ish pm and it was really insanely cold outside.
Then we took the train back to Shinjuku and stuffed ourselves with sushi lol.
The next day on Christmas morning, the boy surprised me with this :)
I have no idea when did he buy Duffy and how did he manage to carry it around the park without me noticing (Background story - We were at the souvenir shop where I picked up Duffy, hugged him a littttleeee too much then put him back on the shelf and told the boy “Don’t waste money la, I have way too many stuffed toys already.”) And the card was actually hidden in our suitcase all the way from Singapore to Tokyo lol
The little things :)
