Eraliner at Erabelle Singapore

Semi-permanent eyeliner embroidery at Erabelle Singapore!

I've been travelling a lot more frequently these days and maybe age's getting the better of me but I don't really have the time anymore to fuss over my makeup before rushing out of the house (or in my case, hotel room.)

I used to go for eyelash extensions and while I liked how they look, now I prefer something more subtle and natural which is more business-meetings appropriate.

My eyes are something I take really seriously and I've turned down a few beauty salons who have approached me to try out their eyebrow and/or eyeliner embroidery services. When it comes to my eyes, I want to make sure that I'm in safe hands.

I think most of us are familiar with Erabelle - this homegrown brand has been around for more than 10 years now and has 5 branches conveniently located across the island.

I visited their newest branch at Seletar Mall to get my Eraliner done!

What is Eraliner?

Eraliner by Erabelle is a semi-permanent cosmetic artistry service that customises the thickness and colour of your eyeliner according to the shape and size of your eyes. The effect is expected to last from 2 to 3 years with the full course of treatment and proper care.

I went for the thin tightline look to subtly sharpen and brighten my eyes.

The Eraliner is finely drawn along the lash lines to create the illusion of thicker lashes, resulting in more defined eyes. Erabelle practises a semi-permanent technique using layers of mineral and organic micro pigments for their Cosmetic Artistry. Unlike tattooing, the effect is not ‘hard-looking’ and colours applied will not fade to a bluish-greenish tint.

My therapist was really gentle and sweet throughout the session (and even called me the next day to ask if everything's good with my eyes.)

Did it hurt?

The TL;DR answer is No.

Numbing cream was applied prior to the treatment so it might feel a little ticklish during the procedure but no pain was felt at all. (What disturbed me however, was the inability to look at my PHONE but thankfully the separation with the love of my life was for only an hour.) They use a Soft Shading technique that allows for a more natural look and is gentler on the skin.

Hygiene is also a top priority at Erabelle - a new set of micropen tips are used with every session. Each tip comes with colour back flow protector to ensure colours do not backflow to the pen, which prevents contamination. Their micro-colours used for embroidery are certified to be dermatological-safe, allergological-safe, microbiological-safe and toxicological-safe.

The next day, my eyelids were a little swollen but applying the post-treatment balm helped a lot in calming it down. (Though I secretly LIKED how my eyes looked then hahaha - you know, like super prominent double eye lids on Li Bingbing? :P)

This is how my eyes look now without ANY makeup - I took this photo this morning as soon as I woke up.

(Which explains why I'd cropped away the rest of my face haha.)

And this is how I look with just mascara and NO eyeliner - it really makes my morning routine such a breeze.

How much does it cost?

The Eraliner service comes in a complete package at $1,391 which lasts two to three years:

  • Eraliner Design
  • 3 Semi-Permanent Colouring sessions
  • Aftercare Creams

It might seem a little on the pricey side but this is for 3 sessions and in all honesty, sometimes you get what you pay for. I felt totally safe and comfortable with them... so much so that even if I wasn't sponsored, I'd be happy to pay.

BUT here're some promos to make life a little sweeter:

For the month of August 2015 only,

1) Enjoy 15% discount on selected Eraliner packages.

2) Get $500 free credit for selected Erabrowlogy packages, which you can use for any additional Erabelle product or service.
