Travelling with style - the Parisian Chic way!
When you are a traveller like me, it's good to know what your essentials are to carry to different travel destinations. I like to be organized with my outfits and plan ahead so when I know that i'm going to a particular beach destination, I've always got to have a few things in handy like a couple of bikinis, that one stunning kaftan, my signature sunnies, a pair of super comfy sandals and a pair that's a bit more elegant for night. Lightweight sundresses, beachy maxis, floppy tan hats and cute floaty playsuits. Not only you want to feel as comfortable as you can, I believe that Spring/Summer is a time to have fun and experiment with colour and prints!
I recently came across Rue Madame’s site and their Spring/Summer collection had me hooked! What I love about this french style boutique is how they select each brand by their unique appeal and each collection gives off a fun, playful and feminine vibe.
I particularly love the Ethnic Print Summer Dress by french bohemian brand Mes Demoiselles. The print is gorgeous and the feel is very boho meets gypsy, I could see myself wearing this on a day out with cute sandals, or glam it up for an evening with a pretty belt and wedges. It also comes in the maxi skirt which would be great for mixing and matching cute tops and blouses with!
Additionally, as a traveller it's really important to get a bag that is comfortable to hold AND big enough to carry the essentials and ideally with some space left over for shopping too. The Mischa shopper tote is beautiful and to me the perfect size, the Aoyama and Champagne colours are so summery and has that beach please vibe. Mischa’s signature hexagon print is simple yet effectively attractive and would compliment any summer outfit.
To compliment my summer outfits I would choose to wear simple jewelry, especially if you are in a hot destination it might not be a good idea to layer so much and stack too many bangles. Aurelie Bidermann do some lovely colourful cotton thread bangles and gold jewelry pieces that screams grecian goddess alert!
I’ve always been into the Parisian chicness and minimalist feel to french fashion and i find that Rue Madame has much to offer. Their boutique stands for affordable luxury as well as believing in quality basics that last a lifetime in your wardrobe. I know I’ll be stocking up my outfits from here for my next travel adventures!
