Omg we made it to 20!
WAH this series actually made it to #20! I'm pretty impressed with myself considering how I typically lose interest rather quickly... remember how I was into all that highlighting? 7 highlighters and a couple of palettes later, I've decided that you can't sculpt cheekbones that aren't exactly there to begin with lol. Or that time I bought a whole bunch of fancy teacups and tiered trays absolutely convinced that I was going to have my girlfriends over regularly at my new place and we're gonna talk about
the useless men in our lives the weather over scones and tea? Didn't happen either. The boy's REFUSING to let it go every time we go to IKEA ("Do you want another spatula for the marmalade you've supposedly been working on for the past 3 years?") - so annoying lah this fella.
So anyway my life has mainly been filled with work, obsessing over my dog (which might or not include extreme paranoia that his testicles weren't dropping yet) and countless trips to IKEA to get boxes and more boxes. For the longest time, my attic has been my home studio with all my photoshoot props, lights and half-dying dried flowers (technically they can't die again if they're already dead right?) but I'm in the midst of moving them to the office. And since I'm in this moving phase, I figured I might as well declutter my house (and my soul) and it's been rather therapeutic packing away things and memories that I do not need. Like that itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow crop top I wore in Bali. Ain't getting that body back anytime soon.
So besides work, packing and eating kiwis (I now eat up to 3 kiwis a day!), here's what else I have been up to.
I LOVE buffets even though I usually only eat three things from the entire spread - cold prawns, salmon sashimi and fresh oysters lol.
BUT! The Ellenborough Market Café is one of the few buffet places where I actually like the cooked food as well. This restaurant has been my family go-to for mother's day, grandmother's birthday and other celebrations for more than a decade now cause my parents like their Peranakan dishes and to make things even better, May is the month of Foie Gras Galore! It's all about foie gras from now till 28 May with their Foie Gras Terrine with Grape Compote, Foie Gras Mousse with Port Wine Jelly and Five Spice Dusted Seared Foie Gras with Mango Relish and Balsamic Reduction.
Then you can treat Daddy for Father's Day in June with their Amazing Crab Feast - there will be 10 special crab creations including Teochew Cold Crab, Thai Style Black Pepper Crab, Wok-Fried Chili Sri Lanken Crab, Gerang Assam Flower Crab and Crabmeat Fried Rice with Asparagus and Tobiko Tartare Sauce.
Don't forget to save space for their signature Durian Pengat dessert!

I've been using Sometime bags for a while now and the latest to my collection is the Basta Signature designed by Alia Bastamam! Love the sweet peach shades and am thinking of getting the Baby Basta in chanterelle beige for casual days!
FAVOURITE FACE THANG
Sheet masks from TheFaceShop! I used to use them a decade ago but switched to Innisfree last year cause, you know, me and my interest levels lol but recently I walked past them at Nex and decided to give their masks a go again. Highly recommend aloe vera (perfect after a day out in the sun), blueberry (super moisturising) and honey (the smell!!!!)
Banana + kiwi + Yakult. Blend them all together and you'll get an unbelievably tasty smoothie. Plus it really helps in regulating bowel movements.
That, and a cup of greek yoghurt in the morning.
We were in Hong Kong, on the tram aka ding ding, and the slave had his hands sticking out of the vehicle. I didn't know what exactly was he snapping at, he didn't know what exactly can he capture and I guess the fear of having your precious A7S and favourite lens land on the streets of Wan Chai is good enough to give you a million dollar expression like that lolol.
Alright, gotta run now. Can't wait for this weekend! I bought my dog a swimming pool HAHA that I really want to try and, and, and it's Carrie's hen's staycation! Woohoo!
