豆漿油條 for breakfast!
So, because we took the red-eye flight to Taipei, the first thing we did when we landed was to head to Fu hang dou jiang (阜杭豆漿) for an authenthic 豆漿油條 breakfast!
We were putting up at Westgate Hotel which was right next to the train station so we took the MTR to Shandao Temple station.
From there, you'll see a HuaShan Market Building and the stall is on the second floor!
I'm not gonna lie so I'm just gonna say upfront that you have to be prepared to queue.
When we were there, the queue extended all the way from the second floor to the first floor to out of the building :flushed: but like typical tourists, we queued anyway.
The good thing is that while queuing, they will come by with loads (and loads!) of sample items for you to try... and probably to placate hungry customers haha.
The red bean paste cakes were SO good!
After queuing for a good 50 minutes, it was finally our turn!
It was my first time trying savoury tou huay and I actually like it! It feels very much like comfort breakfast food... similar to porridge but easier to eat!
