I'm going to be honest here. When it comes to Hong Kong, I'm more of a Hong Kong island instead of Kowloon kinda girl. Nothing personal of course, it's just that the glitz and glamour of Hong Kong island REALLY calls out to me. BUT, having said that, one cannot visit Hong Kong and not go to tsim sha tsui - I mean, I practically learnt Cantonese to pronounce this district accurately lol.
Hotel ICON is the perfect marriage of that glitz and glamour and excitement of tsim sha tsui.
I had previously stayed at this stylish hotel and when work got us flying to Hong Kong, I knew we had to put up here again!
My stay once again didn't disappoint. From the magnificent views of the Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong island skyline, to the open-air heated pool and Angsana Spa by Banyan Tree, I felt thoroughly pampered and relaxed.
I highly recommend the Club Rooms, because not only do you get to check-in and out privately, you also get access to the privileges of the 28th Floor Club & Lounge. Perks include having your breakfast in privacy, followed by afternoon canapes and evening cocktails if you'd like. By the way, we bumped into Vivienne Tam at the lounge though I guess we shouldn't be too surprised. After all, the hotel houses THE Designer Suite by Vivienne Tam.
My only gripe is that we didn't have time to enjoy a slow dim sum lunch at Above & Beyond which is truly one of the best Cantonese restaurants around in my books but I suppose this just means that I'd have to plan another trip back soon?
