All the yummy noms we had in Japan!
Yet more pictures from Japan… I think another 3 more posts then I will be done with the backlog!
A part of me was wondering if I should stop the Japan posts since it’s been sooo long but the thing is, the pictures from Japan are truly the most beautiful (perks of having a pro photographer with us hehe) and I had saved the best topics for the last so I’m very reluctant to give them up.
Today’s entry is the hardest for me to type cause it’s all about the yummy eats we had in Japan! Sorting the pictures for this blog post almost made me cry. We just came back from a foodie trip to Malaysia and can’t wait for our next one to Bangkok - all the mango sticky rice, Four Seasons duck and wanton mee I wanna have!
So anyway, let the food galore begin!
Customizing our own chirashi dons. This was at Kyoto - you get to choose your own toppings, mine’s the bottom one!
I could have matcha anything everyday!
Or yummy cakeeeeee
Or matcha something (this was iced latte omfg) and cake both! heheheh
Still camwhoring hahaha
Super duper yummy banana crepes we had at the same cafe. I want more :(
Speaking about crepes, there was this crepe shop that we passed by on the first day that looked sooooo good but we didn’t manage to stop and I told myself “it’s ok, we’ll come back another time this trip” but we didn’t manage to find the time :’(
Lesson learnt: Never leave things to next time when on holiday!
Made our own okonomiyaki! So fun :D
TUNA GOODNESS nom nom nom
More tuna goodness!
Other sushi goodness. I feel like crying now :(
Hello Kitty cheeken
If you don’t like Hello Kitty, there’s Dumbo too! Everybody likes Dumboooo!
Or if you prefer Donald Duck!
The boy was visibly annoyed with me taking pictures… as usual zzzz.
This was the restaurant that I previously said was the best yakinuku experience of our trip.
Zach weren’t with us so the pics are not as nice as our Gyu Kaku experience :/
Super juicy and sweet sliced tomatoes. Why does everything taste better in Japan?! Even something so simple like tomatoes.
Nothing like beer in winter!
Pumpkin cake!!! Intense food orgasm…
And more ice cream!
I was eating so much desserts everyday… Love how the Japanese do their desserts, they usually aren’t overly sweet so I don’t get the sick feeling after two mouthfuls.
Ice cream vending machine - I was looking out for this machine everyday!
This was my favorite flavor :D
There was a 24 hour Yayoiken near our hotel at Shinjuku so we headed there every other day for supper lol
!!!! I want this now :(
Supper from another ramen joint near our hotel. I love how there are so many eateries open till very late/ operating on a 24-hour basis!
The boy’s ramen choice. Tasted a bit more Chinese-y if you ask me.
Hello Kitty bento that we got for the Shinkansen journey to Kyoto!
Studded leather cuff from ClubCouture by the way <3
Which became a breakfast bowl the next morning. Japanese milk’s so amazing - far cry from the chalky liquid we call milk back here.
The cereal we got!
Random saba fish
Random natto. Still don’t like it ><
Confession: We bought this only to play with it hahaha.
It was pretty yummy though!
More Japanese sweets!
To be honest, I think they’re okay only. Prefer the other Japanese sweets but we still lugged home many boxes of these cause cannot get in Singapore mah. #sotypical
Attempting to #eatclean when I’ve had too much for supper the night before :P
Even their pet food also looks so yummy lor.
I know I used the word yummy like 5 million times in this entry hahahaha, sorry for the lack of vocabulary. This is why I can’t be a food blogger - food to me is only either a) yummy (worth blogging) or b) not nice (don’t blog).
Rest of the Japan diaries here :)
