Dimsum in KL!
Hello!
So on the third day when we were in KL, we decided to give the hotel breakfast a miss because we wanted to sleep in and when we finally got up at noon, it was time for dimsum!
The boy decided to bring me to Chuai Heng Restaurant :)
The place was pretty old school.. like the Ah Yat kinda restaurants in Singapore in the 1980s and I was actually a little excited when I saw the place!
Quality wise, I’ll say it’s not as good as Wah Lok back home but on par, if not better than Imperial Treasure Nan Bei… at a fraction of the price ;)
Char siew soh was good but not the most impressive I’ve had. The pastry was really buttery though! Yums.
One thing about this restaurant… is that they are VERY generous with the prawns! Both the siew mai and the fried wantons were stuffed with shrimps! Each siew mai had at least 3 whole shrimps o.O
But I’m not a huge fan of prawns so they didn’t impress me much.
What really impressed me however…
… was the Liu Sha Bao. See the molten yellow goodness!!! The buns were mildly chocolate flavoured hence the brown swirls and I like it! A yummy mix of sweet and savoury mmmm.
And the very very very delicious fried carrot cake. I’ll return to KL just for this.

After the very hearty brunch, we went to walk around Pavilion a little and decided that we just wanted to sit down somewhere. Shopping in KL wasn’t that great… so we ended up at Meet Fresh and the boy ordered this.
There is no such thing as too much mango.
Went back to Shang and had a drink or two at the lobby lounge.
And off we head back to KLIA! Love all the greenery along the roads :)
Can’t believe it took me soooo long to blog about this short trip. Here are Parts One & Two if you’ve missed ‘em previously.
I’ll be heading to Hua Hin next week and I’m super excited about this trip!
I’ve heard so much about how pretty the beaches are, especially since the King has a palace there. Hope the place doesn’t disappoint!
TGIF & happy weekend folks! :)
