Wedding photoshoot... part 1!
Finally blogging about the pre-wedding photoshoot!
Had wanted to get down to this earlier but I kept procrastinating and before you know it, I’ve been married for 2 months! o.O
In fact, I only managed to re-size only a portion of the pictures because last night I was resizing them halfway (for web, the originals are for print so they’re DAMN big) then I ended up with the worst tummyache of my life. I thought they were period cramps because I just drank cold Fanta orange but after a while, I was breaking out in cold sweat and throwing up my dinner and then I realized… it’s food poisoning wtf. Cause it was the exact same pain I felt over CNY when I was admitted into hospital so after a lot of charcoal tablets and sleeping out the pain, I’m feeling much better this morning. Thank goodness! I don’t want to be sick on my holiday tomorrow!!
I wore the same dress for both the photoshoot and the actual weddings because we didn’t take on any bridal package so there was nothing to rent that sorta thing and also because I don’t think I could find anything else I’d prefer - this is the one dress for me lol.
Looking at these pictures makes me smile - I was actually SUPER grumpy that day because it was scorching hot (and I hardly ever go out in the sun) plus call time was at an unearthly 6am so we can get good lighting. But the boy was just really sweet to me through it all - he got me cold water and ice cream, made me laugh when I was getting awkward in front of the camera and told me I was the most beautiful woman in the world (to him la!) when my makeup was melting away in the summer heat.
And I think it shows up in the photos - me feeling really very loved despite being all sweaty and icky.
Kudos to the very talented Zach for capturing the emotions - we really didn’t want the standard cookie-cutter bridal studio type of pictures.
We wanted something real, something us, something we can look back 2 months, 2 years, 20 years later and reminiscence about how young, and in love we once were.
The boy gangnam style-d through the entire shoot wtf.
And got very excited to see Einstein because somebody here is a physics major okay.
My tired smile when I was told it’s the last frame but the boy smiled so happily lol.
Then Zach sneaked in this shot when we were walking out - check out the boy’s face la. We term this our SCANDALOUS SHOT :p
My favourite picture in this series :)
And this is his favourite shot wtfffff. We were talking about how hot and sweaty we were and he decided that this is the best pic for his Facebook profile picture. After we snapped the shot, he even bothered to check with Zach “eh confirm can see my nipples?” zzzz
My grumpy face behind the scenes about having to walk in the sun.
in fact I’ve been wearing these black beauties to death because they go so well with everything.
