… well, sorta.
Santorini has always been at the top of my wanderlust list, but I’ve been saving it so that one day the boy and I can head there to renew our vows.
And if you’re a fan of ClubCouture’s Facebook page, you’ll probably notice that when it’s my turn to post something beautiful there, more often than not, I’ll upload pictures of this island.
When I was vacation-ing in Hua Hin & Cha Am, I was told there’s a Santorini Park in Cha Am and that it is a mini version of the real thing.
I couldn’t wait to check the place out.
And when I did, my heart stopped.
They certainly weren’t kidding when they said it was a mini Santorini - everything was cerulean & white and the architecture was amazing, with a great view of the mountains.
There was a light passing shower when I was there and walking in the rain just made everything so much more romantic. If only the boy was there with me.
The place’s actually a theme park, along with restaurants, cafes and outlet brand shops (I vaguely remember a Ralph Lauren being there) so you can actually pretty much spend the whole day there.
I had lots of fun shopping and exploring the little alleys with boutiques, ice-cream parlors and quaint cafes.
Mad love all the pretty flowers and intricate decor everywhere.
So, we ate, took lots of pictures…
and escaped to have crepes when it started raining.
Cam-whoring while eating lol.
And when evening fell, the place looked even prettier.
My verdict? Definitely worth a visit - it’s inexpensive (admission was only 50 baht), near enough to Singapore (it’s about 2 hours from Bangkok) and oh so romantic. I’m definitely bringing the boy with me next time. Great place for engagement pictures too :)
Even the washroom’s SO pretty!
