I played box swap recently!
Or rather, it's more like Secret Santa?
Basically, as part of a pretty fun campaign by SingPost, we each have to send (and receive!) presents from a fellow blogger.
So I came home one day and saw a SmartPac box waiting for me in my letterbox with these yummy Japanese snacks and even yummier body butter and shower wash from The Body Shop sent over by Elaine.
As for myself, I had purchased some makeup and skincare from Sephora and sent them over to my sentee (is there such a word lol?) It was super simple, I simply put them into the prepaid SmartPac Lite envelope and dropped them off at the posting box on the way to work and it reached my recipient in two to three days. You can even track your SmartPac delivery at www.singpost.com or the SingPost mobile app!
It was so fun!
As an ex-online-shop owner, I am not new to the world of SmartPac as we used to use it to mail orders to our local customers. But that was a good 3, 4 years ago and boy have things changed since then. For a start, tracking wasn't available back then (and it was something we kept bringing up to SingPost) and I'm glad that SmartPac packages can now be tracked!
Not just that, apart from the standard SmartPac box ($4.70 up to 3kg), there are also the SmartPac Lite ($3.80, up to 1kg) and SmartPac Mini ($3.20, up to 600g) options which are perfect for online stores and small businesses! Besides the lightweight and convenient packaging, this prepaid mailing method also means there is no need to weigh items and calculate postage before sending. Simply fill in the details of sender & recipient, pack items and drop it off at any SingPost bulk posting box at the post office or street posting box. Your friendly postman will then deliver your SmartPac package to your recipient’s doorstep and if nobody's home, it will be placed in your letterbox.
(These days I have been obsessed with the Tula baby carrier and my accessories makers usually send to my orders by Smartpac btw!)
(Just to be safe though, it is recommended that you don't send anything that is of high value (e.g. diamond rings), item with high tendency of leakage (unless sealed tightly) or precious items - such as a Madhatter Tula hahahahha.)
Besides SmartPac, Singpost has also launched the Poly M. This prepaid polymailer was made for senders that are looking for a fuss-free mailing experience. Simply purchase either the Poly M Small ($2, up to 600g) or Poly M Big ($2.90, up to 1.2kg) from any post office, fill in the sender & recipient details, pack items and drop it into any posting box. There isn't tracking for this but it should reach your recipient in 3 - 5 working days.
Here are the prices again for your refernece:
- SmartPac Box $4.70
- SmartPac Lite $3.80
- SmartPac Mini $3.20
- Poly M (Big) $2.90
- Poly M (Small) $2.00
ADDITIONALLY! For a limited time only, you get to enjoy discounts of up to 12% OFF when you purchase more than 20 pieces of SmartPac or Poly M!
