It's wedding season again!

The most favourite time for me to go shopping has definitely got to be wedding dress shopping- as a guest! I love dressing up for special occasions and weddings has got to be one of those times when we are allowed to be bold, glam and fabulous and go all out! My friends are constantly being indecisive about which outfit to go for as there are LOADS of stunning designs. It may become a little overwhelming as there is SO much choice for us ladies and you just don’t know where to start. Whether it’s a summer garden wedding, a beach wedding or a traditional church wedding, I want to share my favourites and some tips and tricks on how you can dress each occasion from ceremony to champagne.

Summer Garden Wedding

Garden weddings especially in the Summer are always delightful, the smell of fresh cut grass with beautiful blooming flowers scattered everywhere just makes me happy. For this type of wedding, I would opt for a midi flared dress or something with a long flared skirt that screams super girly but classy at the same time. Long flared skirts are so flattering for any body shape and will hide all unwanted lumps and bumps. Hot pinks, to bright oranges and sky blues are perfect for any summer wedding. Another favourite of mine are, colourful playful prints on fitted formal blazers. They can add elegance and boost up any neutral outfits, just remember to pick colours from the print to wear for your top and bottom to keep in the tone of the colour theme.

Beach Wedding

Who doesn’t love a beach wedding? This is your chance to go all angelic Grecian goddess, and no doubt this outfit will surely match the beautiful scenic surroundings! Long flowy maxi dresses in bright shades are the one to go for, easy to wear with flat sandals as heels might be a no no for the sandy shores. I love a bit of shimmer and glitter on the beach, also ethnic prints can be gorgeous if you’re going for the bohemian gypsy look and make sure you got some glam accessories to match. A minimal jewelry brand like Maison Violette has all the right pieces to complete a Grecian Goddess look. From earrings to bangles to necklaces, each piece is carefully crafted for a sophisticated finish. Maison Violette have an accessories kit sold at Rue Madame, where you can mix and match your jewelry and choose as you please.

Traditional Church Wedding

Think posh and elegant, something that Princess Diana or Kate Middleton would wear on the regular. Pencil skirts, chiffon silk blouses and well tailored jackets is what springs to mind. Pretty florals, summer colours, elegant dresses, gorgeous hats and clutches. I love blouses, especially the light kind that feel so soft against your skin, and ruffles just make them extra elegant. I have my eye on Chic French designer Toupy’s 100% silk ruffled blouse, super versatile and can be worn for work, or even for special occasions with the right bottom like this stunning Sea NY lace pencil skirt. The delicate embroidery details with the dainty scallop hem is perfect for any special occasion. Sea New York is one of my go to's for sophisticated urban pieces and never disappoints in fashion.
