Luxury pool villas in the heart of Seminyak, Bali!

Continuing the Bali diaries!

When I was posting my Bali adventures on Instagram, I got sooo many people asking me about the villa we were staying at!

Gorgeous, isn't it?

A member of Lifestyle Retreats, The Santai is a collection of spacious, beautifully designed, boutique pool villas nestled in Seminyak, the heart of Bali.

Tub big enough for FOUR of us!

They have a choice of one, two and three bedroom villas available and ours was the 3-bedroom which came with ensuite bathrooms (with in and outdoor showers!) and a private pool right at our doorstep.

The inflatable floats you see here were kindly provided by the villa, alongside a multitude of facilities such as a full home-theatre system (including i-pod docks), yoga mats, bicycles, complimentary daily stock of soft drinks, luxury bathroom amenities and selection of handmade soaps.

And as if these weren't enough, we also had access to 24-hour butler service.

There's something quite different about the service experience at The Santai - it was incredibly warm and from the heart... it felt like family.

With a sprawling outdoor dining area and well-equipped kitchen, we enjoyed our gourmet breakfasts mostly in the comforts of our villa.

Located in a quiet neighbourhood close to picturesque rice fields and local village temples, we could seriously spend all day just lounging in our villa. But The Santai is also just a short 15-minute drive from the shops, restaurants and buzzing nightlife of Seminyak and so, we ended up heading to the nearby Ku De Ta for dinner and drinks.

Then came back and cooked our own mie goreng for supper! :yum:

Pro right? With vegetables and all some more.

Before your stay at The Santai, guests complete a ‘care sheet’ so that the hospitable team can make your stay as comfortable as possible. The resort even offers a ‘shopping list’ service where guests can indicate what they want stocked in their kitchen and the team will take care of it.

Honestly, the care sheet's one of the comprehensive I've seen!

There're yoga classes and diet preferences (vegan, gluten-free, pescatarian etc) and for us, we opted for the Balinese cooking class! Hehe.

This authentic cooking class is held leisurely in the dining area of our villa. Ingredients are conveniently prepared for us and each tantalizing recipe is accompanied by clear step-by-step descriptions for easy reference.

Chef Gede was incredibly experienced (and friendly!!!) and we had a ball of a time, chatting, laughing, taking photos and erm, cooking of course.

After two hours, we managed to serve up 3 dishes including dessert!

My mother will be soooo proud! Hahaha

There are only so many words I can use to describe this amazing resort and I highly recommend you guys check it out for yourself!

Villa rates start at 4,361,983 IDR ($298) a night.
