Mind-blowing, lip-smacking burgers in Singapore!
I'll be honest. I wasn't much of a burger connoisseur before I got together with the boy - if you asked me three years ago what's my favorite burger, I'd tell you it's the filet-o-fish (which was exactly what I told him back then and he totally rolled his eyes to the moon and back).
But now? After three good years of training - both locally and overseas (mainly Australia) - I know my burgers alright. I now know what ought to go into the patty, what makes a good bun and how never to undermine the importance of quality butter.
And these guys at Wildfire Kitchen + Bar, they sure know their burgers!
We checked them out back in April (I told you my backlog is insane!) but the experience was so mind-blowing, we have since returned a couple more times - on Friday night dates and the boy on his BNOs.
The Dry Aged Angus burger ($26) was and still is my favourite burger on the menu! Featuring a Rangers Valley dry aged angus patty with butterhead lettuce, sliced tomatoes, beer caramelised onions, cheddar cheese and their Signature Master Sauce - I don't know how they do it but this is an absolute party in your mouth! The intense flavour from the melting cheddar coupled with the tender and juicy patty... it is little wonder why it's rated the top 3 burgers in Singapore.
If beef is not your thing, then you might want to give the Sriracha Chicken burger ($16) a shot. A little confession, I ordered this only cause I was tryna act all hippie and stuff (cause Sriracha's the latest hipster choice of sauce right?) but I ended up liking it very much! This burger comes with a brined chicken patty with butterhead lettuce, bacon weave, sweet pickled carrots and radish spanish onions, cheddar cheese and sriracha mayo sauce. The mix of flavours was really good - it's savory, sweet, spicy and tangy all at the same time!
All their burgers come on their signature brioche buns that sets them apart from the other burger joints (these buns are really good guys!) The fries at Wildfire are pretty dope too - I particularly love the Umami Fries; straight cut fries sprinkled with their "secret umami dust"!
Besides amazing burgers, hotdogs and hanger steaks, Wildfire also serves up more than 60 craft beers. My boys take their beers very seriously and the wide variety and pocket-friendly prices keeps them going back. They also have carefully curated sakes (!!!) and cider available.
You really ought to check Wildfire out - these guys have seriously got something good going on!
